Edward Hill

Since my midlife transformation from hot glass artist to landscape artist, my journey has been that of a mandala artist, environmental activist and anthropologist. My photographic mandalas, or photospheres, are pairs of images created from about fifty photographs taken from a central point. They show the two ways we experience the same reality in ourselves. From outside and above a ‘small world’ photosphere we are objective viewers, while the inverted photosphere of each pair gives the subjective experience of being immersed in the landscape.
